A new way to enjoy whisky, revealed through glassware.
Happy New Year.Thank you very much for your continued support of Taisho Glass this year.
Comparing whisky with two different glasses

At the start of 2026, Shukigura presents a “slightly more refined experience.”
The Taste of Whisky Changes with the Glass
Many people say, “I like whisky, but I’ve never really paid attention to the differences between glasses.”
In fact, the aroma, mouthfeel, and even the lingering finish of whisky can change dramatically depending on the glass.
At Shukigura, we have launched a Whisky Tasting Experience starting January 5, where you can actually experience these differences for yourself.
A 30-Minute Experience to Learn While Tasting
In this experience, you will compare whisky using multiple types of glasses and learn:
Why aromas change
How flavors expand differently
How to find the glass that suits you best
All while listening to explanations from our staff.
No prior knowledge is required. This experience is designed especially for beginners, focusing on those moments when you think, “Wow, it really is different.”

Take the Experience Home with You — Includes a Glass
Participants will receive one whisky glass to enjoy tasting at home.
It makes a wonderful travel memory and adds a special touch to your evening drinks in the new year.
