About Glass-Making Experiences
Q1. Do I need a reservation for the glass-making experience?
Yes. Reservations are required for the glass-blowing experience.
Other workshops may be available without a reservation, depending on availability on the day.
Please note that some experiences accept same-day participation only.
Q2. Can I join the experience on the same day?
Yes, same-day participation may be possible depending on availability.
However, please note that availability is limited and cannot be guaranteed.
Q3. How long does the experience take?
The duration varies depending on the experience, but most workshops take approximately 15 to 60 minutes.
Q4. Can children participate?
Participation requirements vary by experience.
Many workshops are available for elementary school–aged children and older.
In some cases, younger children may participate with the assistance of a guardian.
Q5. Can I participate even if I have shoulder or back pain?
Participation depends on the type of experience and your physical condition.
If you have concerns about shoulder, back, or other physical pain, please consult with our staff in advance so we can advise you on the most suitable option.

Q6. Are there differences between each store?
Yes. Each Taisho Glass store has its own specialty, such as accessories, sakeware, tableware, or miniature glass items.
Please feel free to visit multiple stores and enjoy discovering the unique character of each location.
Q7. Which store sells accessories?
Accessories are mainly available at stores such as Kanzashiya and SORA.
Please note that the product lineup may vary depending on the season.
Q8. Do you sell Otaru-exclusive items?
Yes. Many of our glass products are original items created in Otaru and are available exclusively at our stores.
Availability may vary depending on the location and time of year.
Q9. Is gift wrapping available?
Yes. Gift wrapping is available.

Q10. Is there a parking lot?
No. We do not have a dedicated parking lot.
Please use nearby coin-operated parking facilities.
Q11. Is the store within walking distance from the Otaru Canal?
Yes. Our stores are located along Sakaimachi Street and are within walking distance from the Otaru Canal.
Q12. Is it okay if I don’t speak Japanese?
Yes. Support for foreign languages is available.
