Service Description
The “Tonbodama Experience” at Taisho Glass is a popular program where you can create your very own one-of-a-kind glass bead while experiencing Otaru’s unique glass culture. Even first-time participants can enjoy the experience with confidence, as our staff provide careful support throughout. 【STEP 1】Choose a pattern Select your favorite design from a wide variety of patterns such as stripes, marble, and polka dots. 【STEP 2】Choose glass colors You can freely combine colors from dozens of available color variations. 【STEP 3】Make the tonbodama (Approx. 15 minutes) Melt glass using a burner, wind it onto a metal rod, and shape it while adding patterns. Our staff will guide you step by step, making it safe and enjoyable for everyone from elementary school children to adults. 【STEP 4】Slow cooling (Approx. 40 minutes) After制作, the glass is slowly cooled over about 40 minutes. During this time, please enjoy browsing the shop or shopping inside the store. 【STEP 5】Pickup Please collect your piece after 40 minutes, or by closing time at 7:00 PM. *If you prefer delivery to your home, an additional shipping fee will apply. --- 【Required Time】 Crafting: Approx. 15 minutes / Cooling: Approx. 40 minutes 【Age Requirement】 Elementary school age and above (Beginners welcome) --- Your finished tonbodama can be turned into accessories such as straps or necklaces.
